Eva & The Heartmaker is a Norwegian duo consisting of Eva Weel Skram and her husband Thomas Stenersen. Eva handles lead vocals, and the pair have put out four studio albums along with several singles that charted in the dance genre.
Eva Weel Skram was born on 17 December 1985 in Sogndal Municipality, Norway. From 2001 to 2004, she studied music, dance, and drama at Firda Upper Secondary School in Sandane. In 2005, she competed in the third season of the Norwegian *Idol* series, finishing in 6th place after being eliminated on 22 April 2005. Following *Idol*, she spent another year studying at Romerike Folkehøgskole.
Not long after, she formed Eva & The Heartmaker. Their debut album, *Behind Golden Frames*, came out on 28 August 2006. A second album, *Let's Keep This Up Forever*, followed in 2009 and received positive reviews. Its single "Superhero" became their biggest hit, reaching No. 4 on the official Norwegian singles chart, VG-lista. The duo performed at the 2010 Sommerspillet festival in Arendal. Their third album, *Dominoes*, was released in 2011, and a fourth, *Traces of You*, came out in 2013.
Though a duo, their live shows include backup musicians: Alf Magne Hillestad on drums, Ingar Blix on bass, Lars Kvistum on keyboards, and Anne Marte Nesdal on backing vocals.
