Davichi debuted in 2008 with the studio album Amaranth and the single 'I Love You Even Though I Hate You', which won Rookie of the Month at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards. They quickly gained recognition, winning Best New Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and Seoul Music Awards in 2008. Their early EPs Davichi in Wonderland (2009) and Innocence (2010) produced hits like '8282' and 'Time, Please Stop'.

In 2011, their EP Love Delight was leaked online before release, but the label proceeded with the original schedule. The lead single 'Don't Say Goodbye' topped Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 for three weeks. After a brief attempt to leave their label in 2012, they renewed contracts with Core Contents Media. In 2013, they released the studio album Mystic Ballad, with the pre-release single 'Turtle' reaching number one on the Gaon Single Chart.

Their contract with Core Contents Media expired in 2014, and they released a final EP 6,7 before signing with CJ E&M. Subsequent releases included the EP Davichi Hug (2015), the studio album &10 (2018) for their 10th anniversary, and the EP Season Note (2022). In 2024, they left WakeOne (successor of CJ ENM's management) and signed with Cam With Us. They have contributed soundtracks to dramas such as Big, Iris II, It's Okay, That's Love, Descendants of the Sun, and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
